Backflow Testing
A cross connection control or backflow preventer is defined as any actual or potential connection between a potable water system and any source of pollution or contamination. Problematic conditions that can occur are Back Pressure, Back Siphonage and Backflow
These devices can be found between many appliances that are attached to city water such as:
-
Ice Machines
-
Pop Machines
-
Fire Sprinkler Systems
-
Boat Docks
-
Laboratories
-
Dental Offices
Backflow devices are mechanical in nature and will fail over time. These failures will allow contaminated water to backflow into your drinking water and cause potential illness.
